Day 30 {of 30}..... FINALLY

Day 30- Your favorite song

Well, I was hoping to have this wrapped up last night, but out of nowhere, I decided to just bust out with a fever - so needless to say, I felt pretty crappy.  Of course I would come down with something a week before I'm supposed to go on vacation..... I blame all the idiots that come to work sick and slobber all over the place.  ANYWAY - moving on!

My favorite song.  Seriously?  I feel like after 30 days of this nonsense, this is sort of anticlimactic.  But for the sake of polishing this off and moving on with my life I will adhere!

I have a lot of favorite songs.  I don't think I have a #1 most absolute favorite song.  If I had to pick, I'd say it's probably U2 - One.  Some others include:

The Beatles - Something; Day Tripper; Hey Jude; Let It Be
Madonna - Crazy For You
Trick Daddy - In Da Wind
The Doors - Break On Through and Light My Fire
Lenny Kravitz - Believe; I Belong to You; Are You Gonna Go My Way; Circus; and Again (I <3 Lenny!)
U2 - One (obviously); Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me; Beautiful Day; The Sweetest Thing
Enya - Caribbean Blue
Gary Jules - Mad World
The Offspring - You're Gonna Go Far, Kid
Linkin Park - Bleed It Out
Queen - My Best Friend

I'm sure there are more, but I'm tired of thinking so I'll leave it at that.  Hope you enjoyed my 30 Days!

Day 29 {of 30}

Day 29- In this past month, what have you learned.

I've learned that 30 days is a long time to commit to doing one of these.  About halfway through I was already over it..... but I'm almost done now.

I've learned that - try as I might - I will NEVER get my Christmas shopping done before Christmas Eve.

I've learned that I should trust my gut and buy more toilet paper when I think we might almost be out - despite being told we have plenty.  It saves another trip back to the store within a 2 hour time frame.

I've learned that as much as I love designer jeans (but not designer prices), the Lauren Conrad skinny jeans at Kohls fit me like a glove for a quartrer of the price.

That's it for today!

Day 28 {of 30}

Day 28- A picture of you last year and now, how have you changed since then?

Well, I've skipped a few days.  To be honest, it was due mostly to the fact that I've been too lazy to plug in my external hard drive to find a picture from a year ago.  In order to solve that dilema, I did what anybody else would do - I went to my facebook account, pulled up last year's Christmas pictures, and chose one of those.  We just had our company holiday party yesterday, and this photo was taken at last year's holiday party - so it's literally almost exactly a year ago!
The blondie on my left is my friend Jen (the cilantro-plant-growing-whore).  So - how have I changed since this picture was taken?  Well physically, I was thinner a year ago and my hair was shorter and lighter.  I was also tanner - thank you, L'Oreal Sublime Bronze.  Besides the physical changes, I honestly don't think a lot else has changed.  Emotionally and mentally, I'm basically the same.  To tell you the truth, this past year has really flown by - I'm not sure where it went, and how it happened so fast!

This picture was taken yesterday - SURPRISE - at our holiday party.  Jen and I again!  And no, it has not escaped my attention that she is wearing the same red sweater and black necklace this year that she did last year.  I'll be sure to advise her of that the next time we talk.  :)

Day 27 {of 30}

Day 27- Why are you doing this 30 day challenge

It gives me something to blog about.  A lot of times, there's a serious lack of things for me to write about - so I don't write.  This gives me topics.  And I'm easily entertained - obviously.  I'm kind of over it though - just a few more days to go!

Day 26 {of 30}

Day 26- What you think about your friends

Well this is a dumb question - obviously I wouldn't be friends with people I didn't love and care about....... end of story!

Day 22 {of 30}

Day 22- What makes you different from everyone else

Good question - I have no idea.  I consider myself uniquely unique, although I can't quite put my finger on what exactly makes me unique.  I'm always said that I'm not one in a million, I'm more like one in ten thousand.  I have a sharp sense of humor.... I'm not afraid to speak my mind.... I try to always have a positive attitude.... I'm a hard worker.... and I'm a passionate person - about everything I care deeply about.  I don't know if any of that makes me different from everyone else, but maybe it's more in the specific distribution of all these qualities that separates me.  :)

Day 21 {of 30}

Day 21- A picture of something that makes you happy

Christmas decorations make me happy.  We went to Home Depot the other night to get a tree.... got there at around 8:20pm - of course, there's a huge sign - the Chritmas Tree lot closes at 8pm.  Naturally.  So what do I do?  I push open the gate and walk in and help myself to a tree.  Literally, I grab the first tree I see, pay for it, strap it to the car, and we drive home.  Only at home do I realize it's slightly crooked and missing some patches of branches.  Not to mention completely flat on one side.  Whatever - it's OUR tree!  So we threw it up, let it fall for a day (which - not so much), and then I decorated it last night.  I tried to use a lot of lights and a lot of "filler" to make it appear fuller.  Whatever.  We are also rocking a Superyard around it so Bailey doesn't do anything naughtly while she's home alone.  Soooooo having said that - Christmas decorations (especially trees) make me happy:

Day 19 {of 30}

Day 19- Nicknames you have; why do you have them

I guess I have a few.
1. Snitz - my dad has always called me that since I was little.
2. E-Train - my boss started calling me that 9 years ago and it stuck.
3. Leeshie/Leesha - my mom calls me Leeshie and some of my dad's friends call me Leesha with their thick Italian accents.
4. Lee/Lee Lee - my best friend, Jayme (Jay/Jay Jay) has called me this for as long as I can remember.

That's about it!

Day 18 {of 30}

Day 18- Plans/dreams/goals you have
Well, I have the usual - get married, have kids, raise them right, blah blah blah.  I'd like to work as much as I can now so I can party later on.  I want to travel the world - with my family.  I want to train to run a marathon (well, a half marathon).  I want to learn to be a better cook.  I want to sell this stupid house and buy a bigger and better one.  I want to foster or rescue dogs - the more the merrier!  I want to become a better hostess.  Basically, I want a perfect life!  :)

Day 17 {of 30}

Day 17- Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

I don't really want to switch lives with anybody for a day - so this is tough.  Hmm.... I'll pick Kate Middleton since she's the talk of the town right now.  No other reason.

Taken last night at The Yard House with some friends for dinner (with my half yard of Weihenstephaner Weiss - next time I'll make it the Abita Purple Haze).

Day 15 {of 30}

Day 15- Put your iPod on shuffle: First 10 songs that play

1.  The Doors - Light My Fire
2.  Dave Matthews Band - Too Much
3.  Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats
4.  Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman - Time To Say Goodnight
5.  Michael Jackson - Beat It
6.  Christina Aguilera - Come On Over
7.  Peter Bjorn and John - Let's Call It Off
8.  Stone Temple Pilots - Big Bang Baby
9.  Phil Collins - Against All Odds
10.  Kings of Leon - Milk

One word: Eclectic.  I should tell you - I don't really know how to use my iPod - other than to turn it on and put the ear buds in.  I still have a pink iPod Mini - 6GB - second generation.
It was a birthday present about 6 years ago.  My boyfriend put my music on it for me when I got it and I've never actually deleted any music.... I have added songs - about one or two times since - and it's been at least 2 years since I've added anything to it.  I just can't figure it out.  I'm not a technical person and it confuses me - so I don't do it!  I like my iPod the way it is!!  And no - I don't intend to upgrade until this one breaks!  :)

Day 14 {of 30}

Day 14- A picture of you and your family

Soo.... my dad's from Italy and he's the only one on that side of the family who lives in the U.S.  My mom's family mostly lives here, but some live in other states.  This picture was taken on my grandma's 90th birthday (on my mom's side).  My dad is actually not even in this picture because he was out of town.
Man, I just realized I don't have many "family" pictures.  Here's an old one from Italy showing my dad, my aunt and uncle, and a couple of my cousins...... we really need to all get together and pose for a picture some time!
And here's one last shot of me and my *little cousins* in Italy last time I visited:

Day 12 {of 30}

Day 12- How you found out about Blogger and why you made one

I don't know how I found out about Blogger - I don't remember not knowing what it was.  I made one because I get bored often and I have a lot to say.  Simple as that.  That was quick!

Day 11 {of 30}

Day 11- Another picture of you and your friends

I'm going back with these pictures..... way back.  An old "friend" posted some pictures on Facebook from our middle school years, and they're just too funny not to share.  I say "friend" because somewhere before high school graduation, we had a huge falling out which basically came down to a massive screaming fit in her front yard and a heated "discussion" which may or may not have resulted in someone running their car up on a median to scare the other one.  (And it may or may not have been yours truly behind the wheel).  Honestly, it's been so long - the memories start to get fuzzy.

Alas, we are Facebook "friends" now which just goes to show you - time heals all wounds and all that other nonsense.  Without further ado:

On a completely unrelated note, I was absent yesterday because we went out to dinner last night with some peeps, and we stuck around after to watch the Christmas light show:
